Our Pappa al pomodoro, made with locally grown tomatoes and traditional Tuscan bread, is one of the most famous dishes of the regional culinary tradition. Loved by both adults and children, it was even celebrated in the 1960s with a song, first sung by the most famous “rascal” in Italian children's literature: Gian Burrasca.

And even today, after so many years, we can't help but sing along loudly with him: “Vogliamo, detto fatto, la pappa al pomodor!”, which means “We want, said and done, the tomato and bread soup!”.
